Jacqueline G. Antonio is a senior associate with Goodkin & Lynch, LLP. Ms. Antonio assists clients on a variety of matters ranging from real estate litigation, risk management and insurance coverage. Her litigation and trial experience spans all aspects of real estate matters, with an emphasis on breach of contract issues, partnership disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, construction disputes, construction defect cases and insurance coverage actions.

Ms. Antonio also maximizes her litigation and risk management experience by assisting clients in targeting key issues to address and helping clients negotiate the terms of their insurance policies for their real estate projects. Ms. Antonio's risk management practice focuses on advising clients on (1) creative strategies to minimize and mitigate potential liability that may arise in the development and construction of commercial, retail and residential real estate, and (2) compliance with statutory claims protocol processes in California (e.g. the Calderon Act under Civil Code §§ 1375, et seq. and, the Right to Repair Act under Civil Code §§ 895, et seq.) and Nevada (e.g. the Chapter 40 Process under Nevada Revised Statute, Rule 40, et seq.)

Of note, Ms. Antonio's recent verdicts and settlements include:
1. Confidential settlement in excess of $10 Million for the defective construction of a mixed-use residential and retail project in Orange County
2. +$500,000 Judgment after a trial on behalf of an owner/developer against a contractor arising out of the defective construction of a high-end, luxury residential project in Orange County
3. Successful defense and dismissal of a Nevada action involving an excess insurer's claim against its developer insured for reimbursement of several million dollars the insurer paid on the developer insured's behalf in an underlying construction defect lawsuit
4. Judgment in favor of landlord after a trial in a hotly contested landlord-tenant litigation

Ms. Antonio received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Southern California. In 2007, Ms. Antonio earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Las School. While in law school, Ms. Antonio externed at the Center for Conflict Resolution and clerked at a real estate law firm in Orange County. Additionally, in the summer of 2005, Ms. Antonio studied comparative law at Hong Kong University and interned at the Government Affairs Department of STAR Group Limited.

She is admitted to practice before the State Court of California and all United States District Courts in California. Ms. Antonio is a member of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Asian Pacific Bar Association of Los Angeles, and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Los Angeles.
